Happy Birthday to you!

We celebrated Andie's 3rd birthday this last Saturday, the poor girl is born 5 days after Christmas...brutal I know. She insisted this year that she had a Tinkerbell party. She was so excited for her cake most of all and for her friends to come up and play. We had pizza and cake and ice cream, it was lots of fun, thanks everyone who came!

HO HO HO!

Christmas this year was so much fun! The girls were so into the whole Santa thing and were just so excited well, Brooke was a little confused but she went with it. We woke up to a beautiful white Christmas of course (Minus the wind) After we opened our gifts we headed down to St. George for my mom's Annual Christmas Breakfast, which is the most wonderful thing in the WORLD!! We had lots of fun spending time with our family!

And then there were.....3!

Shan and the girls and I are excited to announce that we will be adding another addition to the family this July! Andie can't stop talking about how she wants a little brother just like her cousin Tucker....well I have to admit but I hope she is right but we will be happy with whatever we are blessed with. Shan and I truly believe that our kids are the reason we live we love them so much and they are nothing but a blessing in our lives.

What the....??

K..So I'm pretty sure that I win the mom of the year award....NOT! Judging by the way my child looks I am sure you would agree. I have been feeling really sick all week and it just happens to be the time that Shan is gone working, so I haven't seen him since Monday morning or had help from anyone else, so as you can imagine, it's sucked pretty bad. Being sick with two kids and absolutely no break from anyone SUCKS! But we've survived!

So as I was laying on the couch trying to avoid all the chaos around me and get a little shut eye, Andie changed her outfit like 4 times, but when I opened my eyes and saw this I just had to post it! She is sooo funny and she just kept saying how cute she looked LOL! I'm glad cause it definitely brightened my day and helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Gobble Gobble

Today Danielle and I decided to make some fun turkey crafts with the kids. The turkey puppets took way too long for a 3 and 4 year old attention spans but it was a blast.

Even Brookie made a cute little hand turkey!

Here's Andie with her cute little turkey that she worked so hard on. Needless to say, we spen all this time on them and they have already ripped all the eye balls off and they are pretty trashed, oh well at least they had fun right?

Happy Halloween!!

This year Halloween was so much fun! Our girls were the cutest little rock stars ever! And me and Shan weren't too cute but we had  a lot of fun dressing up too!

Oh my goodness!

So I was sitting down finally relaxing for the day watching Grey's Anatomy, when I look to Shan and said "Geez Andie's being really good huh?" Boy was I wrong! The little devil got into the Halloween make up right after bath time might  I add and got it ALL OVER!

I hafta admit, it was pretty darn funny though! LOL

She kept saying "I'm a rockstar huh!"

Pitty Party!

K. so do you ever just have those days where you feel sorry for yourself? Well I have been having way too many of those lately, and I know it's so ridiculous of me but I just can't help it! I just hate the fact that my husband has to be gone SO much! It's so not fair to me and my girls or him but that's just the way life is right? Well really how long is my life going to be like this? With the economy the way it is, we might live like this for the rest of our lives! I love my husband so much and I miss him more than words can say and I know he feels the same, but it's just too stinkin hard. I know things could be so much worse and I know that I have been blessed in more ways than I can even say. I have a beautiful home, awesome kids and a husband that would do anything for us! But the thing I want the most is just a husband that gets to come home every night and spend time with his family...something most people just take for granted, right? I am so grateful for the man that Shan is, I can only imagine how hard it is for him as well! I can't wait for the day to come where Shan only has to work ONE job and be home with us EVERY night, that day can't come soon enough! Kinda a lame post I know but I just had to write what I've been feeling.

Are you serious?? It's only October!

Okay so apparently the snow decided to come early this year :( Yesterday we came home from lunch with Shan's parents and we all took a nap, when we woke up it was like a freakin winter wonderland! I really don't like the snow/cold, but I must admit that it does look very pretty.

These girls are so funny and soo busy! They have a whole toy room to destroy but they choose to bring everything out and destroy the whole house! How sweet huh.

Andie loves taking pictures now, every time she sees the camera she 

wants a picture, she always says "Your turn now mom" and then after we look at the pictures she says "Ooh you so pwetty mom, Brooke so pwetty, I'm so pwetty too  huh?" She's so cute!

OWIE!!!

So  as you can see below we made Halloween cookies on Saturday, well following that, we had a little mishap. Andie totally fell of my moms bar stool and smacked her face (nose) right on the bottom bar! It was the saddest thing, I don't even know how she did it. She was in so much pain. Her nose and eyes are swollen now and becoming black. Poor girl, she's usually very coordinated but I guess her luck ran out!

Halloween Cookies!!

Every year we have this tradition of Halloween cookies that my grandma started. They are little orange pumpkins, we use gumdrops for the eyes, candy corn for the noses, and red hots for the mouth. It's always very interesting to see what faces people come up with, especially Danielle, she's pretty creative :) So this year was the first year that Andie really joined in to decorate and she loved it, she was constantly licking her knife covered in frosting, pretty gross if you ask me but a 3 year old of course would be in heaven.

12 month stats!

We took Brooklyn down to the Doctor yesterday for her 12 month check up. She is doing great. She is still growing very well which is very good for a baby her age, she was in the 24 percentile for weight and 75 for length. The doctor said "Maybe she's going to take after her dad" which I have to admit the thought of that does frighten me a bit hehe.  She's been eating all table food for quite a while now and loves it! She had to get her shots which is never fun, but necessary. They asked me if I wanted to give her a flu shot in a few weeks, I have never done that before so I was  a bit nervous, any advice out there? Anyway, overall she is doing very well.

Pierced ears!!

So this last week Andie has been asking me for earrings, I explained to her that she couldn't wear them because her ears weren't pierced so she said "Pierce my ears mom, please" So we took them down today to get it done, Andie was talking all morning about how she wanted pink ones, that's the first thing she said when she got up this morning so we got her some cute little pink ones and brookie the white ones. They did so good, I think it just scares them more than anything, but they were both champs and were over it in about two minutes. Don't they look so cute? Pics are posted below.

So Brooke's birthday party turned out to be really fun, thanks to everyone who came! We enjoyed seeing everyone and can't wait to do it again! Here are those pics I promised ya.

Birthday!

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!! Today is Brooklyn's 1st birthday. We love her so much and have enjoyed every minute of this first year with her, she are so special! Brooke has grown up so fast she has already been walking for 2 months now, she loves playing with Andie and doing everything that she does, she is such a sweet spirit and loves life, last night Brooke woke up in the middle on the night, which is very rare, but I have to admit that I was kinda glad, I brought her in bed with me and just snuggled with her for about four hours, I loved every minute of it too, until my arm was dead! 

Looking back....

It is so hard for me to believe that my Baby Brooklyn is turning 1! We are celebrating her birthday this weekend. I swear I just had her! She has been such a blessing in all of our lives and we love her so much! I am looking forward to spending many many more years with her. We love you so much Brookie, thanks for all that you do! I can't imagine what life would be like without her...what on earth would Andie do all day? She loves her little sissy and they are the best of friends. I love both of them so much and am so grateful for the awesome kids that Shan and I have been blessed with :) (Party pictures will be posted shortly)

Lagoon and the Zoo!

So we ventured up to Salt Lake a couple of weeks ago to visit Shan's brother and to go to take the girls to Lagoon and the zoo! It was so much fun, a lot of work, but fun! The girls loved it, Andie hopped right into the lines to get on the rides all by herself, she amazes me, she's so independent. I think we will wait a couple of years before we do that again just so they can go on more rides :) Andie was an inch short of going on the a lot of the bigger rides, we tried to sneak her on anyway, but sadly enough, it didn't work :(
