Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was so much fun! We started the day off with an egg hunt at Grandmda and Grandpa Stilson's where they kids found their eggs and had a little BBQ and a pinata.

Then we headed to Grandma Neighbor's for a delicious BBQ...YUM!

Oh and don't you worry...we totally busted out a mad game of four square and it was just as fun as when we were in elementary!

Got chicks??

Ok...so lets rewind this story to this time last year when Shan randomly came home with 20 baby chick...yes you read that right TWENTY! We live in a house with a strict HOA and no backyard so for the next few weeks the chicks sat in a box in the garage...I was a little mad and the garage was A LOT of stinky! So he then had this clever idea to build a chicken coop out at my parents so he could keep all the chicks....so after that he decided that 20 wasn't enough and he got MORE! I think this whole chicken thing is stupid and gross but whatever....its just his thing I guess. So anyway about 4 weeks ago he asked me if he could buy an incubator for $120 and I being the sweetheart that I am, said no way! So the next day where do I find Shan?? At Home Depot buying all the supplies to make his own incubator...again I was bugged because I really didnt think this thing was going to work at all! Well I'm out here in the blogging world...eating some crow...cause it did work! AHH! They're hatching and its not stopping haha. So if anyone wants a chick you know where to find them! Andie and Brooke just think its the coolest thing ever! And Andie keeps saying "I love you so much daddy! Thanks for making us chickens!!" haha

This was yesterday you could see the eggs rocking and hear chirping...it was the weirdest thing
We happened to be out in the garage when this little baby entered our world...they are so not cute when they first come out! But I guess we probably aren't either

Bloom

So I made this cute frame and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out...its not the cutest thing I've made but I like it. I'm so excited for spring and I've decided that if I decorate for spring that maybe it will come a little quicker...probably not but its worth a try right?

What you will need:
One 4x6 unfinished wood frame
Scrapbook paper
Ink pad for distressing
Tulle and ribbon
Brown Vinyl
Pink Satin material
Spray adhesive

How it was done, just incase you wanna make your own!
I cut a vanilla piece of cardstock 4 x6 Distressed it with a caramel ink pad, then I cut the tree branch just free hand with brown paper. Use the spray adhesive to secure the vanilla piece of paper right to the piece of chipboard that comes with your frame. Then glue the branch down as well. After its dry, cut your satin material into little circles (Play around with the size and see what works for you) After you have as many cut out as you'd like get and lighter and burn the edges, this will make it curl up and keep it from fraying. Once that's done hot glue them right on there. You can add rhinestones or buttons if you'd like. As far as the frame goes, just paint the edges and trace the paper to fit the frame....cut it out and use the spray adhesive to apply that. Add the ribbon, tulle, and letters to the frame and VOILA! You're done and it was so easy!

UGH!

I WISH I could pay someone to come take care of this problem for me!
Anyone...anyone?? No takers? Oh well

Love me some park days!

Today was SO BEAUTIFUL! This is exactly why I live in St. George because I can take my kids to the park in March without being bundled up like freakin eskimos! Oh and and by the way, Charly pretty much ate that whole piece of sandwich...shes a champ!

Don't mind the gnarly booger hanging out of Brooklyn's nose...she'll probably
lick it off in just a sec HAHA

I think Tucker held that apple the ENTIRE 2 hours we were there!

Look at those EYES!
